About the tour

Embark on an 8-day Catholic pilgrimage through the holiest sites of Galilee, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and the Judean Desert. Celebrate Mass at cherished sanctuaries—from the Sea of Galilee to Nazareth, Mount Tabor, Mount Carmel, and the sacred places of Jerusalem’s Old City. Pray at the Church of the Nativity, walk the Via Dolorosa to the Holy Sepulchre, and reflect at the Jordan River, Jericho, Qumran, and the Dead Sea. This journey blends Scripture, tradition, and worship with beautiful landscapes and living history.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Welcome to the Holy Land

Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport; meet your representative and guide
Transfer north to your hotel by the Sea of Galilee
Take a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee as in the time of Jesus
Celebrate Mass on/near the Sea of Galilee
Lodging & Dinner: Tiberias / Nazareth

Day 2 – Galilee Hills, Nazareth, Cana & Jordan River

Explore Nazareth: Church of the Annunciation (Mass), St. Joseph’s Workshop, Mary’s Well, Old Market
Visit Cana of Galilee, site of Jesus’ first public miracle
Visit the traditional baptism site on the Jordan River (baptism option)
(Optional evening) Hammat Gader hot springs resort
Lodging & Dinner: Tiberias / Nazareth

Day 3 – Sea of Galilee: Capernaum, Tabgha & Mt. of Beatitudes

Visit Capernaum: ancient synagogue; hometown of apostles and St. Matthew
Pray at Heptapegon (Tabgha): Church of the Multiplication, Mensa Christi (Peter’s Primacy)
Visit Magdala and Gennesaret
Celebrate Mass at the Mount of Beatitudes
(Optional) St. Peter’s fish lunch by the lake
Lodging & Dinner: Tiberias / Nazareth

Day 4 – Mount Tabor, Armageddon, Jezreel Valley & Mount Carmel

Ascend Mount Tabor, site of the Transfiguration (Mass)
Panorama over Armageddon (Megiddo) and the Jezreel Valley
Pray on Mount Carmel (Elijah vs. prophets of Baal); Druze villages; falafel & hummus lunch
Drive via Sharon Plain to the Judean Hills (Givon/Mizpah overlooks)
Enter Jerusalem with a special blessing; continue to Bethlehem
Lodging & Dinner: Bethlehem

Day 5 – Bethlehem & Jerusalem Museums

Bethlehem: Church of the Nativity (Mass), St. Jerome’s grotto/workplace, Shepherds’ Field
Jerusalem: Second Temple Model (Israel Museum)
Shrine of the Book: Dead Sea Scrolls
Lodging & Dinner: Bethlehem

Day 6 – Jerusalem: Mount of Olives & the Holy City

Mount Zion: Cenacle (Last Supper Room), King David’s Tomb, Dormition Abbey, St. Peter in Gallicantu

Day 7 – Ein Karem, Bethany, Judean Desert, Jericho & Dead Sea

Ein Karem: birthplace of St. John the Baptist; Visitation (Mary & Elizabeth)
Bethany: home of Mary & Martha; Tomb of Lazarus (Mass)
Wadi Qelt overlook (Judean Desert); Jericho: Elisha’s Spring, Mount Qarantal (Temptation)
Gilgal (biblical crossing site); panorama of Qumran caves
Late afternoon Dead Sea beach time
Lodging & Dinner: Bethlehem

Day 8 – Transfer to Airport

Depart Bethlehem for Ben Gurion Airport for your flight home
